The Arena Hex: a new crest for our online cricket game
NPL Cricket League has a new logo: the Arena Hex, a gold hexagon with a batter mid-shot and a flaming red ball. Here's what every part of it means.
NPL Cricket League has a crest. On 3 November 2026 we chose the logo that will sit on the app icon, the loading screen and every page of this site. We call it the Arena Hex, and it's built to say one thing at a glance: this is an online cricket game made in Nepal, and it's here to compete.
What you see
Look at the crest and you'll find six parts:
- A gold hexagon badge that holds everything together.
- A batter mid-shot, caught at the moment the bat comes through.
- A flaming red ball, leaving the bat with heat behind it.
- Crimson and blue diagonal bands running across the badge, taken from the colours of Nepal's flag.
- "NPL" in gold, big and bold.
- A "Cricket League" ribbon across the base.
Why a hexagon
Lots of sports crests are round or shield-shaped. We wanted something that felt like a game you play against other people, online, for rank.
The hexagon is a shape that people who play competitive online games already know. It reads as a badge you earn, a tier you climb, a lobby you join. That fits a game with ranked divisions and live matches against real opponents.
It also has hard edges. A circle is soft and friendly; a hex feels like it has somewhere to be. The straight sides give the crest a sharp silhouette that stays clear on a dark background, under floodlights or on a small screen.
And it works as an app icon. A hexagon sits neatly inside the rounded square that phones use for icons, leaving room around the edges so the badge never gets clipped. Shrink it down to the size of a home-screen tile and you can still pick out the batter and the ball.
A crest should look like it belongs on a scoreboard and on your home screen at the same time.
What each element means
The gold is the trophy. It's the colour of the thing every franchise is chasing, and it echoes the gold we use for buttons and calls to action on this site.
The batter mid-shot is the heart of the game. NPL Cricket League is built around the duel between bat and ball, and the moment that matters most is when you time your shot. We put that moment at the centre.
The flaming red ball is the energy of a T20 night: the six that clears the rope, the crowd on its feet. Red also ties it to the crimson of the flag.
The crimson and blue bands come from Nepal's flag: crimson for the field of the flag, blue for its border. Running them on the diagonal gives the crest movement, as if the ball has just cut across it.
"NPL" in gold keeps the name short and readable at any size, and the ribbon spells out what it is, Cricket League, so nobody has to guess.
Using the crest
The crest is ours, created for NPL Cricket League. It is not based on, and should never be paired with, the branding of any real league or franchise.
If you're writing about the game, the press kit at /press has downloads of the logo and our colours. Please don't redraw it, recolour it or combine it with real league branding. For press questions, write to business@lacspace.com. For anything else, reach us at info@lacspace.com.
The game itself is still in development for iOS and Android. The crest is one of the first finished pieces, and we're glad to show it to you.
NPL Cricket League is a game by Lacspace inspired by Nepal's T20 franchise cricket. Team names identify the franchises; crests, kits and players in the game are our own, and players are fictional. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or licensed by the Cricket Association of Nepal, the Nepal Premier League or its franchises.
