React Native
One codebase for both platforms, so both get the same game on the same day.
Technology
What goes into a cricket game that looks like TV and plays fair online, explained for players rather than engineers.
Spec sheet
Design targets for a game in development.
The ground in real metres
We model the ground in actual metres, then project it through a virtual broadcast camera, the same way a TV lens sees a real match. A ball that pitches on a good length lands where a good length really is, and it grows as it comes at you.
Every frame
Swipes and taps are read the instant they happen.
The ball moves in fixed time steps, so physics behaves the same on every phone.
Skia paints the ground, players and ball straight on the GPU.
Motion runs on the display's own clock for buttery play on fast screens.
Then the loop starts again for the next frame.
On your phone
iOS + Android
One codebase for both platforms, so both get the same game on the same day.
The stadium, floodlights, players and ball are drawn with Skia, the graphics engine behind Chrome and Android.
Animation runs off the main thread, so a busy moment never makes the ball stutter.
Recorded crowd and match sounds: bat on ball, stumps flying, the roar for a six.
Devanagari is rendered properly in every menu, scorebug and card, with correct joined letters.
Fixes and new content reach you without waiting for a full store update.
On our servers
Built by Lacspace
NPL Cricket League is made by Lacspace, a software company with a team in Nepal. Our Game Collection app already ships a broadcast-style cricket game, and the lessons from it, from real-metre projection to server-decided outcomes, are the foundation of this one.
